When it comes to dishwasher detergents, which one is best? Lipscombe Appliance has found that powder performs the best of all. We have less service calls when powder is used. Liquid and gel packs will leave a residue in the sump of the pump, which over time can cause excessive suds to form, and the dishwasher can leak. We also recommend the use of rinse aid in the rinse aid dispenser, not the detergents with the rinse aid mixed in them. Customers that find powder left in their dispenser should cut back on the amount of detergent and make sure your water temperature is hot. We recommend turning on the faucet and letting the hot water run before starting your dishwasher, this will improve cleaning performance.
