FOR YEARS WE DID THE FLAT TOP AND NOW WENT BACK TO THE COIL AND LOVE IT SO MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN AND WORK WITH WILL NEVER DO ANOTHER FLAT TOP AGAIN.

We just got this wonderful GE self-cleaning electric stove and I love it. It fit perfectly into the spot of our old one, it's all black which I prefer, no stainless steel to constantly wipe and polish, this black finish is easy to clean. The clock is easy to read from anywhere, as pictured it has a sensi-temp feature against overheating and causing fires, and best of all the knobs are clear on which element you are heating and how high or low you're set at, yay! It was a hit for Easter dinner this past weekend. The oven was great too, it's got a light (not all ovens do), the broiler part was awesome. I sure hope it lasts me a nice long time, like GE products used to back in the day. It's pretty to look at, efficient and we got it at great price so to me it's been win win win!

Love the new stove. Ordered Black to go with my new refrigerator so a paired match. Need to replace my dishwasher but holding off. Looking for good pricing. Eventually the dishwasher will be GE as well. They been around for years and that speaks a lot for what you purchase.

This stove is exactly what I wanted - a return to basics. With this stove, I get a consistent low temperature cook rather than an intermmittent boil, which I found impossible to obtain on a glass-top range. The oven bakes consistently and well. Very happy with our purchase.

A great stove that does it's job as designed
We purchased the black enamel finish and it is stunning!
Only thing is that the stovetop requires a little more effort to clean as it shows all streaks, grease marks etc. then it's beautiful again!!

Haven't had my GE range too long, but so far, I love it. The oven cooks everything evenly, and I like the burners on the cooktop. I like the all black. Much easier to keep clean then my old stainless.

I had a glass top stove that I hated because it's so hard to clean, Isaw this one online and liked the features. I like the coil because you can remove the pans under the coils and clean them.I will never go back to the previous type of stove.

I was beginning to think I'd lost my ability to cook. Everything was either under done or burned. Thankfully my stovejust sparked and blew up! I made a vow that the first weekend I had my GE stove , I would make a turkey dinner for the family. I have to say, I haven't had a turkey done right in years! The meat was moist , the skin browned evenly and crisp. Oh it was wonderful!! All my side dishes were prepared and ready at the same time also, because the burners heated evenly. Thank you so much for creating such a great stove!

It took 4 months for us to receive our stove and refrigerator. One week later, the front left burner stopped working. We called the service center and did receive a new burner quickly; however, it appeared to have been used and not brand new. As we waited so long for the stove, we just decided to use it. The stove that it replaced was a Sear's Kenmore brand from the 1980's and was still working; however, definitely needed to be replaced. I highly doubt that this stove will perform as the Sear's Kenmore one did.

I do like this stove, even though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more modern stoves. My last stove had a warming drawer, whereas this one has storage for pots and pans. However, it works and for the price is a good value.

I like my new stove but I wish I had not gotten black because it shows every speck if dust and dirt. It is difficult to keep shiny. Does NOT come with a broiler pan.

Pros: Solid cheap new range. Fast pre-hest oven. Warmer/heat sensors work well.
Cons: The screws were quite difficult to remove so that the electrical cable can be attached for installation. Make sure you have a hexagonal ratchet in case it's super tight.

Due to my blowing out the breakers trying to install a new, poorly marked temp control on our 27year old GE oven, wife found this online. She had wanted a new one for years, so, good enough excuse.
This one's sensitemp caps in the center of the eyes keep the eyes hotter than on the old one. Wife has had some readjustment with our stainless cookware, as the stainless retains heat, very well. A potato soup scalded a bit, when made. It was the first time that had been attempted.
There are more rack-rows in this oven. We like that feature.
Personally, I don't care for the touch-pad controls. I see it cracking, and the controls becoming inoperable, like on old remote controls. I forced a very expensive replacement of the whole control unit, when one part of it fails.
